Chauntae Davies: Epstein and Maxwell Forced Me to Have Sex on the Private Jet and Island l

Chauntae Davies boarded Jeffrey Epstein’s infamous private jet—the “Lolita Express”—as a young masseuse, trusting the promise of travel and opportunity, only to endure repeated sexual assaults at 30,000 feet and on his secluded Caribbean island, Little St. James.

She described how Epstein raped her multiple times, starting on the island after a handful of “massage” sessions, while Ghislaine Maxwell allegedly facilitated and normalized the abuse, turning glamorous flights into terrifying ordeals of coercion and violation.

Davies, who flew with Epstein for years—including high-profile trips to Africa—later spoke publicly of the trauma, the sickness that followed one assault, and how she fled the island barefoot, cutting her feet on rocks in desperation.

Epstein and Maxwell denied the allegations, but her raw accounts in court hearings and interviews expose the chilling reach of their predatory world.

James.

Chauntae Davies, then 21 and an aspiring actress studying massage therapy in California, was introduced to Epstein’s world in late 2001. Her massage instructor brought her to an appointment with Ghislaine Maxwell, who quickly offered her a weekend job as a masseuse in Palm Beach. That same night, Davies flew on Epstein’s private plane with Maxwell, beginning what she later described as a manipulative relationship built on trust and promises of betterment.

Davies performed “massages” for Epstein initially without incident, but the dynamic shifted rapidly. In interviews, including with NPR in 2019 and CBS News, she recounted that on her third or fourth encounter—after a handful of sessions—the abuse escalated to rape. This first assault occurred on Little St. James, Epstein’s private island in the US Virgin Islands, where she was taken under the guise of work. She described Epstein forcing himself on her despite her protests to stop. The trauma was immediate and severe: she became violently ill for two weeks afterward, vomiting uncontrollably and requiring hospitalization. Epstein continued to abuse her multiple times—two or three more rapes on the island and during other encounters—while she performed nonconsensual sexual acts framed as massages.

Ghislaine Maxwell allegedly played a key facilitating role, normalizing the abuse, coordinating travel, and maintaining the facade of legitimate employment. Davies flew frequently on the Boeing 727 dubbed the “Lolita Express,” including high-profile trips such as a 2002 humanitarian voyage to Africa with former President Bill Clinton and other notables. A widely circulated 2002 photo shows Davies giving Clinton a shoulder massage during a layover; she later described him as a “perfect gentleman” with no misconduct on his part. However, the glamorous flights masked terror: coercion, violation, and the constant fear of refusal in Epstein’s isolated, power-laden environment.

In 2019, following Epstein’s arrest and subsequent death by suicide in jail while awaiting federal sex-trafficking trial, Davies spoke publicly for the first time. At an emotional August 2019 victim impact hearing in Manhattan federal court—where more than 20 accusers addressed the dismissed case—she declared, “I have found my voice now, and I will not stop fighting. I will not be silenced anymore.” She recounted fleeing the island barefoot in desperation after one assault, cutting her feet on rocks as she escaped the property. She also spoke of the profound sickness and humiliation that followed, and how Epstein “won” through years of silence imposed by shame and fear.

Epstein and Maxwell denied all allegations of wrongdoing. Maxwell, convicted in 2021 on sex-trafficking charges and sentenced to 20 years, has appealed her conviction. No criminal charges were ever filed specifically against Epstein for Davies’ assaults due to his death, though her accounts align with patterns described by other survivors.

Davies’ raw, unflinching testimony—in court statements, media interviews, and public appearances—exposes the chilling reach of Epstein’s predatory world: how promises of opportunity lured vulnerable young women into a cycle of grooming, assault, and control, shielded by wealth, private jets, and remote islands. Her courage in speaking out highlights the enduring trauma and the fight for accountability in a scandal that continues to reveal layers of exploitation among the elite.
