Maxwell Calls Trump a “Complete Gentleman”: Saw No Inappropriate Behavior with Epstein’s Network l

In a stark federal prison interview room on July 24, 2025, Ghislaine Maxwell—Jeffrey Epstein’s convicted co-conspirator—leaned in and delivered words that stunned many: “The President was never inappropriate with anybody. In the times that I was with him, he was a gentleman in all respects.”

Speaking to Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche, she insisted she never witnessed Donald Trump in any “massage setting,” never saw him act improperly, and described him as always “very cordial and very kind” during their shared social circles with Epstein years ago. These statements, now public in newly released transcripts and audio from the two-day session, come as Maxwell serves 20 years for sex trafficking minors—and amid speculation about a possible pardon.

Is this a truthful glimpse from the heart of Epstein’s dark network… or a desperate bid for mercy from a woman who knows too much?

The praise raises as many shadows as it clears.

The two-day sessions, on July 24 and 25, 2025, took place in Tallahassee, Florida, with Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche—a former personal attorney to Donald Trump—leading the questioning. Newly released transcripts and audio, made public by the Department of Justice in August 2025, capture Maxwell’s emphatic praise. She insisted she never witnessed Trump in any “massage setting” (the term victims used for Epstein’s alleged sexual encounters), never saw him in an inappropriate context, and described him as “always very cordial and very kind” during their overlapping social circles with Epstein years earlier.

Maxwell, serving a 20-year sentence for recruiting and grooming underage girls for Epstein’s abuse (convicted in 2021), repeatedly denied observing misconduct by Trump or other prominent figures like Bill Clinton. She stated “absolutely never, in any context” when asked if she heard claims of impropriety involving Trump and “masseuses.” She also dismissed the existence of a rumored “client list.”

These statements emerged amid fierce political pressure on the Trump administration to release Epstein-related files. The interviews followed Maxwell’s reported request for the meeting, and came shortly before her transfer from FCI Tallahassee to a lower-security federal prison camp in Bryan, Texas—sparking allegations of preferential treatment, including customized meals and special privileges. Whistleblower claims later suggested preparations for a “commutation application” to the Trump administration, though Trump has publicly stated he has “not thought about” a pardon and would need to review any request.

The timing fuels intense debate. Maxwell maintains her innocence despite her conviction and has consistently denied witnessing abuse involving elite men in Epstein’s orbit. Victims’ accounts and unsealed documents describe a network of coercion at Epstein’s properties, with flight logs showing Trump’s past associations (though he distanced himself years before the scandals peaked, citing a dispute). No charges or substantiated evidence of wrongdoing by Trump have emerged from the case.

Is this a truthful glimpse from the heart of Epstein’s dark network? Maxwell, who knew Epstein intimately from the early 1990s until his 2019 death, positioned herself as an authoritative witness to the social dynamics. Or is it a desperate bid for mercy from a woman who knows too much—and has everything to lose? Facing decades in prison, her glowing portrayal aligns suspiciously with potential leverage for clemency or commutation.

The praise raises as many shadows as it clears. Released amid backlash over transparency, the transcripts offer no new incriminating details against Trump but amplify scrutiny of influence, favoritism, and lingering questions in Epstein’s saga. In a case defined by silence, denials, and strategic revelations, Maxwell’s words add another layer of ambiguity to an unresolved story.
