Newly unsealed Epstein files ignite outrage across America: at least 10 co-conspirators exposed, yet the Trump administration faces accusations of shielding their identities in the shadows. th

Washington / New York, USA – In late December 2025, the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) released a massive tranche of Jeffrey Epstein-related documents—nearly 30,000 pages—in compliance with the Epstein Transparency Act and mounting congressional pressure. Among them, a chain of internal FBI emails dated July 2019 sent shockwaves through the public: investigators referenced “10 co-conspirators” they were aggressively pursuing immediately following Epstein’s arrest. To date, only Ghislaine Maxwell has been convicted (sentenced to 20 years for sex trafficking), while the identities of most of those 10 individuals remain buried under thick layers of redaction.

The emails detail FBI efforts to serve subpoenas on at least six of the ten: three in Florida, one in Boston, one in New York, and one in Connecticut. One is described as a “wealthy businessman in Ohio”—multiple sources point directly to Leslie Wexner, the billionaire founder of Victoria’s Secret, who once granted Epstein sweeping financial power of attorney. Efforts to contact Jean-Luc Brunel (the French modeling agent who died by suicide in prison in 2022) and Maxwell are also documented. The remaining four were listed as “outstanding” or “out of pocket,” indicating an investigation that abruptly stalled.

Public reaction in the United States has been explosive. Democratic lawmakers including Chuck Schumer and Jamie Raskin have accused the DOJ under Trump of “flagrant violations of federal law” by withholding full disclosure, labeling it an “outright cover-up.” In response, Republicans and Trump allies have dismissed the claims as a politically motivated “witch hunt,” stressing that Trump severed ties with Epstein in the early 2000s after deeming him a “creep.” Documents also repeatedly mention Trump: flights aboard Epstein’s private jet, testimony about a 14-year-old girl brought to Mar-a-Lago in 1994 (where Trump reportedly introduced Epstein), and subpoenas sent to his private club. Trump has denied any wrongdoing.

Legal experts note that the 2019 emails prove the FBI viewed Epstein’s network as far broader than just two individuals (Epstein and Maxwell). Yet no further criminal charges materialized—possibly due to insufficient evidence, quiet settlements, or shifting political winds. The DOJ has acknowledged more than one million additional pages remain unreviewed, and the excessive redaction (some pages completely blacked out, others easily undone with basic image editing) has fueled widespread distrust in the transparency process.

This case is no longer merely Epstein’s legacy—it has become a litmus test for the American justice system under Trump’s second term. As public pressure mounts for the real names of the 10 co-conspirators, the central question lingers: will the full truth ever surface, or will powerful connections continue to keep it sealed? With the 2026 midterms approaching, the Epstein files are emerging as one of the most dangerous political weapons in play.
