Sky Roberts’ devastating words are echoing worldwide after he accused the Department of Justice of nothing less than gaslighting Epstein survivors and families through its partial, heavily redacted files release.

In a powerful interview on MS Now just hours after the December 19 dump, Roberts—the brother of the late Virginia Giuffre, Jeffrey Epstein’s most prominent accuser—described the day as a “mixed bag of emotions”: pride for survivors receiving some validation, yet profound disappointment as the DOJ delivered what he estimated as barely 10% of the full records mandated by the Epstein Files Transparency Act signed by President Trump.

Roberts declared the incomplete release under Attorney General Pam Bondi a deliberate attempt to manipulate hopes and hide truths. As his words spread rapidly online and bipartisan lawmakers like Reps. Ro Khanna and Thomas Massie threaten impeachment, the global outcry intensifies: How many more secrets will remain buried to protect the powerful?

Sky Roberts’ devastating words are echoing worldwide after he accused the Department of Justice of nothing less than gaslighting Epstein survivors and families through its partial, heavily redacted files release on December 19, 2025.

In a powerful interview on MS Now with Jen Psaki just hours after the long-awaited dump, Roberts—the brother of the late Virginia Giuffre, Jeffrey Epstein’s most prominent accuser—described the day as a “mixed bag of emotions.” There was pride in seeing some validation for survivors after decades of pain, yet profound disappointment as the DOJ delivered what he estimated as barely 10% of the full records mandated by the Epstein Files Transparency Act, signed by President Trump on November 19, 2025.

“It’s kind of disappointing to see that our own Department of Justice is trying to continue to gaslight us,” Roberts said, joined by his wife Amanda. He accused Attorney General Pam Bondi of deliberately manipulating survivors’ hopes, withholding thousands of pages and obscuring critical details with black bars. Giuffre, who died by suicide in April 2025 after years of courageously exposing Epstein’s network, would have been heartbroken by this betrayal, Roberts implied.

The bipartisan Epstein Files Transparency Act, co-authored by Reps. Ro Khanna (D-CA) and Thomas Massie (R-KY), required the DOJ to release all unclassified records—including the 2007 draft 60-count indictment potentially implicating powerful figures and memos on Epstein’s lenient 2008 plea deal—by December 19. Instead, the “first phase” included thousands of pages, many previously public, with hundreds of photos showing Epstein alongside Bill Clinton, Michael Jackson, Mick Jagger, and others. Extensive redactions protected over 1,200 potential victims, but lawmakers and survivors argue they shielded far more.

Roberts’ interview has spread rapidly online, amplifying bipartisan outrage. Khanna and Massie accused Bondi of non-compliance, with Khanna announcing they are drafting impeachment articles and exploring contempt proceedings. Massie warned she risks future obstruction charges, stating the release “grossly fails to comply with both the spirit and the letter of the law.” Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer called it a “blatant cover-up,” while survivors demanded the DOJ “stop redacting names that don’t need to be redacted.”

The DOJ defended the phased approach, promising more releases soon, but trust is shattered. As Roberts’ words fuel global outcry—from emergency hearings to subpoenas—the intensifying question remains: How many more secrets will remain buried to protect the powerful? For families like the Roberts, honoring Giuffre’s legacy, the pursuit of unredacted justice continues amid renewed pain.
